I had the chance to interview one of our exchange student, Felicia Drum! She’s a junior here at Valley Center High School.
Q: Where are you from?
Q: What was your first impression the US?
A: I was here twice before this time but I was excited to come back.
Q: How do you like Valley Center so far?
A: I like it very much, I like it because everyone knows each other since it’s a small community.
Q: What was some of your hobbies or things you did in your home country?
A: One of the hobbies that I used to do was boxing, hang out with my friends in the city center, and shop.
Q: What is your favorite thing about VCHS so far?
A: I really enjoy the sports like cross country and the races. I also enjoy the events like the football games and homecoming.
Q: How is the food different?
A: Well I’ve noticed that there is more fast food restaurants here.
Q: What would you say would have to be the most delicious food item that you have tasted in the US?
A: Mexican food.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: I love pizza.
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Dogs! Especially pugs and boxers.
Q: How are the schools, is it different from VCHS?
A: Yes. The only thing that is different is that we don’t get to choose our classes. Also, there is only like four classes for the 10 grade with around 30 student where we would always stay together in every subject.
Q: How many languages do you speak?
A: I speak German, English, and a bit of French.
Q: What are three words to describe yourself?
A: Open minded, ambitious, Athletic.
