FOCUS class is where students learn about organization, time management, and how to prepare for college. Every Monday we are given a lesson about topics that will help
us in life and guide us through. In the FOCUS haiku website it keeps students informed with upcoming college representatives, websites for SAT or ACT test scores, and
Naviance. Not only that, but once in awhile a speaker will come in and talk about money management or reasons why to go to college after high school. All FOCUS students are required to obtain 10 hours of community service for first semester and 20 hours for second semester to help the community with events. Community service helps students develop skills, meet new people, and improving the quality of life of others. It’s not all about learning, but every other Friday we do an activity with all three FOCUS classes to interact with one another. FOCUS is a great class to learn, have fun, and have time to do homework.
