Exciting week for VCHS starting Monday April 15th VCHS presented Car Week. The week started off with Mom Car Monday displaying mini vans and other comfortable and spacious cars fit for moms. Toy Tuesday featured some of VC’s coolest toys like Jeeps, dirt bikes and more. For Way Back Wednesday some classic cars were displayed such as a El Camino. Thursday was Trucks and Tractors day with off the road, four wheeler trucks and an actual tractor. Flex Friday featured the finest cars in VC including Mrs. Rienick’s lexus sport car. Also on Friday at lunch, Springfest. For Springfest the clubs of VCHS gathered in the quad and sold delicious snacks and beverages to raise money for club funding. Jaguarpost, yours truly, sold cold Jarritos along with some chips to snack on. The Club That Shall Not Be Named sold some sweet butterbeer. MECHA outdid itself with the annual sale of Tostilocos and aguas frescas. PB&J Club featured some heavenly fresas con crema (strawberries with cream). These were only a few of the many enjoyable treats found at Springfest. Finally to end the night VCHS showcased Jag Idol. The night was filled with a variety of talents judged by Tatum Bernet, Tom Padinske and Audrey Banner. Hailey Bjerkness warmed up the crowd with some stand up comedy. There were many performances including singing by Ray Toloumu, Luna Mikhail and more. The top three winners were consecutively as follows: Jaeden Flury, Adrian Mendoza and Jade Colegio. It was clear that Valley Center High School’s students have some of the coolest cars and talented people. The environment that is found at VCHS is one like no other.
